During update of IBM BPM environment to 8.5.6 I get the error: CWPKI0663E: Key store file ${CONFIG_ROOT}/cells/CellName/bwl-trust.p12 did not verify. The update process is interrupted. What to do?

During update of IBM BPM environment to 8.5.6 I get the error

runConfigActions script execution failed. Exit code: Exception caught while waiting for runConfigActions script to complete: /opt/bpm855/profiles/Dmgr01/bin/runConfigActions.sh

In BPMConfig.log I see the error:

Incorrect time in logs of Content Collector for SAP after changing of timezone

In our Filenet ECM system we use Content Collector for SAP.
After changing time in October 2014 (in our case - Russia, Moscow, UTC+3) we patched all of Java jre in our environments using IBM jtzu patch. After that WAS shows correct time in the logs but Content Collector - does not. In spite of update it shows old time (UTC+4).
What to do?

Identificators of type 2064.25e13007-8539-43fb-81f2-b227ff50bbc3 in error’s messages in SystemOut.log. What do they mean and how to use them for a BPM troubleshooting?

In SystemOut.log you can get some errors with identificators of type 2064.25e13007-8539-43fb-81f2-b227ff50bbc3. For example, the error message:

[3/3/15 16:37:05:801 MSK] 000001f1 wle E CWLLG0594E: An exception occurred while initializing the runnable thread. Error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not load version details, context=2064.25e13007-8539-43fb-81f2-b227ff50bbc3T.

What does this identificator mean and how to use it for a BPM troubleshooting?

IBM System Dashboard for ECM. Average Response Time - what's this?

Last two weeks I have to recall a programming because we need to monitor some production FileNet environment. I write some reporting system what use an information from IBM System Dashboard for ECM. I think, it is rather useful utility and can be a solid basis of some simple monitoring system.

Unfortunately, I had to explore algorithms of counting of  parameters and a compliance of parameters myself.

ORA-01407: cannot update ("BPMDB"."LSW_SNAPSHOT"."LAST_MODIFIED_BY_USER_ID") to NULL

Something else about a bugtracking in BPM. I have thought about an issue recently.
After transfering of PA from one Process Center to another and its starting we got such error:

The password of database user expired and you don't have an access in BPM. What to do?

At first some theory.
A standalone BPM environment (7.5-8.0) uses a database-base internal repository (DBR) for storing of accounts by default. If your database is down you cannot enter into BPM.
A clustered BPM environment does not use DBR by default, it uses WebSphere file-based user repository (FBR). A standalone environment contains FBR too, but it is not active.

I had this problem when I started to use Oracle DB as BPM database. Default user profile in Oracle has two settings: a password will be expired after 120 days and the user account will be locked 7 days after password expiration. So, if you use Oracle you must change these setting to UNLIMITED at once.
But others databases have analogical problems too.

What do do in these case:

How to deactivate a Predefined App from Process Admin Console

During its installation BPM installs his standard process applications
In many cases users want to deactivate them but it is impossible because these PAs have status Default.
For deactivating you must set them as No-Default.

"You have been automatically logged out for security reasons" on a clustered environment

I analyzed one issue today.
Some application exists on an BPM's environment. It executes some long process (the syncronization of LDAP's groups in my case).
This process takes about 5 minutes. But after 60 seconds the coach of this application is being changed to teamworks' coach with the message "You have been automatically logged out for security reasons etc..."

The message "The repository contact failed" on an offline Process Server

An offline Process Server can write this error in its log:

[7/4/13 11:27:03:297 MSK] 0000001d wle_servlet   W   CWLLG0095W: The repository contact failed with a status of: 500

It means that the Process Server attempts to connect to Process Center but last is not available.

Step by step solution of java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Certificate chaining error seen with IBM Business Process Manager v8

Recently I have solved one issue.

It looked as (SystemOut.log):

java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: The certificate issued by OU=..., O=..., O=domain, C=ru is not trusted; internal cause is:
java.security.cert.CertPathValidatorException: Certificate chaining error

And visually I could not open Process Inspector through https, for example.

Help yourself or the bugtracking in WebSphere products for Dummies (Part 1)

I seek and tired to fight with vendor’s Support Team. Don’t hope to it.
Either your problem will be solved next century or never.
So in this article I show an example of a self-bugtracking in WebSphere products.
