2014. Moscow goes back to winter

Not having found a more smart targets, we decided to return the Winter Time. So in the night of 25/26.10 Moscow will set time upon hour ago.

It is very joyful news for any Russian sysadmins which always waiting for a possibility to work in the weekends. It is the sarcasm.

Connections 5 Metrics. UDA-SQL-0432 Unable to locate the gateway "cogudaor" and others

At last I've installed Metrics for Connections 5. It was a real Kamasutra. Cognos is an awful product for installation. I remember my attempts of installing BAM. But it was only easy walk.
IBM created a new feature named Cognos Wizard for Connections. In my mind (or their may be) it must facilitate a process of installation. In fact I spent a lot of time for hopeless attempts.
But now I can give several advices for future brave hearts :)

How to use SMF for creating a service for start and stop Oracle DB on Solaris 10

So I often became use Solaris for our environments, I was interested in controlling of our services, particularly Oracle DB. I know well how to do this in Linux but there my experience was weak.
